Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Focused Practice.

Dr Adanna Ikedilo is a Nigerian born daughter of an OB/GYN Physician father. At the age of 9 years old, she and her parents migrated from Nigeria to Jamaica where she completed her secondary education. She went to University of the West Indies for her undergraduate studies, then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada for her medical studies.

After graduating from Medical School and obtaining her medical degree, Dr Adanna Ikedilo completed her residency training in OB/GYN at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore Maryland where she served as the Chief Resident in her final year of Residency. While in Residency, she and her now husband whom she met while they were both medical students got married and had 2 children.

Upon completion of her residency training, she traveled back to Jamaica and worked under the supervision and guidance of her father for a year providing care to women in rural communities in Jamaica, after which she moved to California with her husband and 2 children. Their 3rd and last child was born in California.

Her first 4 years as a California resident, Dr Adanna Ikedilo worked at a Federally Qualified Health Clinic here in the Central Valley providing quality healthcare to women with little to no resources or access to care. She later joined a private group where she eventually became a partner.

Dr Adanna Ikedilo has diversified and expanded tremendously since she started her gynecology practice. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), and has a Focused Practice Designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeries (MIGS) by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has surgical privileges in a number of the local hospitals in Fresno and Visalia.

Dr Adanna Ikedilo’s service extends beyond clinical practice. She is also committed to teaching and mentoring medical students from the California Health Sciences University (CHSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine Fresno campus, NP and CNM students as well as Resident Physicians helping them to sharpen their clinical skills and their professional development. She is also involved in volunteer work here in the Valley, as well as in Jamaica and in Nigeria, continuing her commitment to improving access to education and women’s healthcare in her community and beyond.
